Parisian DJ/producer Sebastian has been a part of Ed Banger’s electro-house takeover since nearly the beginning (back in 2005), but only now is he prepping the release of his debut full-length record, called Total. The 22-song LP is scheduled to drop on May 5, and will feature guest appearances from the likes of M.I.A., Mayer Hawthorne, and Gaspard Augé of Justice who aids in production on “Tetra.” “Embody” is the first single to leak off Sebastian’s album, and will be available on April 5. Quindi ragazzi per favore buttate il televisore dalla finestra come ci insegnava la sigla di mai dire tv dei Gialappi anni 90 e per favore seguite la scena. Andate a sentire i dj bravi, se la cosa vi interessa interessatevi anche agli aspetti culturali delle nostre feste. Noi esistiamo per questo, se le serate diventano solo “rimorchià, beve, sfonnasse o alzare addirittura le mani”, state lontani, non siete nel posto giusto e lo dico per voi.

Mike Skinner, aka The Streets (November 27th, 1978) is an English rapper from Birmingham.
The Streets’s plan went as a group, but became lead singer in a short time, becouse the members continued to leave the project. In late 2000, the Locked On label, which had success with The Artful Dodger and Craig David, approved to release “Has It Come To This” under the name The Streets. Skinner moved from Birmingham to Brixton to pursue his musical career.
For his debut album, Original Pirate Material, Skinner wanted to bring the garage music to a new direction with material reflecting the lives of British clubbers. The album was successful for the public and the critics. The Streets was named in the 2002 Brit Awards in the categories of “Best Album”, “Best Urban Artist “,” Best Emerging Artist ” Best British Male Artist”.
Currently behind it mike has four albums and a big surprise for the end of 2010 … we’ll see!!

And so another piece of history has gone away.Guru has passed away yesterday morning (April 19) after a long battle with cancer.Another battle lost, another victim for one of the worst desease of this world.The Gang Starr’s component, afflicted by a coronary on 28th of Febrary, on 2nd of March got a delicate operation.He was just 43 and during his stay in hospital he wrote a touching lettere to his fans.

“I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options. I have a non-profit organization called Each One Counts dedicated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvantaged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cure for this terrible disease that took my life. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting”.

“My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody’s feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my sun KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf myself and my son until he is of age to except on his own”.

“I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ. As the sole founder of GangStarr, I am very proud of what GangStarr has meant to the music world and fans. I equally am proud of my Jazzmatazz series and as the father of Hip-Hop/Jazz. I am most proud of my leadership and pioneering efforts on Jazzmatazz 4 for reinvigorating the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre in a time when music quality has reached an all time low. Solar and I have toured in places that I have never been before with GangStarr or Jazzmatatazz and we gained a reputation for being the best on the planet at Hip-Hop/Jazz, as well as the biggest and most influential Hip-Hop/Jazz record with Jazzmatazz 4 of the decade to now. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time. And we as a team were not afraid to push the envelope. To me this is what true artists do! As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small mindedness, greed, and ignorance. As we fought for music and integrity at the cost of not earning millions and for this I will always be happy and proud, and would like to thank the million fans who have seen us perform over the years from all over the world. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time and is my most creative and experimental to date. In 2007 Titan took the first steps in production of the beat house music.
Fascinated by acid house and Detroit techno he crammed his studio with samplers and drum machines,
which revealed useful in 2007 when he started to exhume old vinyls of the 80’s disco music.
After some productions in the music scene he took the chance to get noticed for the official remix of “La mano mia” by Bugo.
It got a good success by the critics and by the web radios, which appreciated its free and easy style that makes the track cool and fresh.
The rejection of the merciless electro club dictatorship, imposed by the now-a-days music scene, lead him to experiment with new sonorities.
His identification badges are crystalline samplings and bouffant synthesizers.
Here it’s coming the first EP “Bruxism groove” licensed by the more and more decisive Italian indie-label “La Valigetta”.
Titan promises to cling his strong sense of originality, as his brilliant remixers do
(The Phantom’s Revenge, His Majésty Andre, Useless Wooden Toys &
Scuola Furano), which intend to mould this gem in half summer.

Thank God that Springtime is finally descending upon us here in the UK…

During the dark and rainy time that is the London Winter when the British people shuffle along heads-down moaning about the weather and wrapping themselves in their duvets of despair, a certain electro-disco duo have been hard at work in their underground lair.

Sat in their lead-lined nuclear bunker half a mile below ground, oblivious to the rain and snow falling above them, PUNKS JUMP UP have been in self-imposed studio isolation working feverishly on their debut album material featuring some top-secret and very exciting collaborations.

The guys have a CV of the highest order featuring club smashes such as Dance To Our Disco (Kitsune) and remixes for the likes of GOSSIP, TIGA, MIIKE SNOW, DIGITALISM, ROBYN, PETER BJORN & JOHN and loads more. The past few months has seen them cut back their hectic European touring schedule to concentrate on this production and remix work with the amazing results soon to be unleashed on the world.

As a little teaser before their new material bursts it way out of the studio they have poked their rather pale sun-deprived heads above ground to deliver this amazing mix tape. It includes two of their previously unreleased remixes, which are the highlights of this 40-min set of disco-electro-bass aural delights. The PJU remix of ZONGAMIN‘s Azzazza should be particularly highlighted here, being its very first public outing following strong DJ support from the likes of 2 MANY DJs and others.

This is just the first in a new series of dj mixes from PUNKS JUMP UP. Watch out for upcoming installments, which will include more brand new PJU remixes of artists such as MIAMI HORROR & WE HAVE BAND, as well as new original PJU material!

Roska is also about to release his debut album on Rinse and to hype it up they will be releasing two 12″ – the first of which is simply titled Roska 1. There is three tracks on the EP, two vocal tracks (featuring Jamie George and Anesha) that are rad funky  tunes but to me its all about “Time Stamp”, that thing is madness! Its got a great funky step with a old school feel and that hook will get stuck in your head for weeks.

Logorama is an amazing and funny short films directed by François collective Alaux – Hervé de Crécy – Ludovic Houplain).
This 15-minute short made with 2500 logos,is set in a universe made up of logos, chases, robbery, kidnapping a real thriller animation.
In 2010 he won the Oscar for best animated short miles.
I was left speechless..

Well, today is your lucky day: the band, in collaboration with the film crew and machine engineers, have put together a feature about the machine for you to enjoy. The interactive application includes photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes facts about every phase of the making of the video from start to finish. What’s more, we culled many of the details from fan requests and discussions when creating the application.
