Moderat is/was the band project of Modeselektor and Apparat. The opening track, A new Error, of their first and last album is one of the greatest track of 2009.

The first of 2 eps remixed by the cream of the crop of today. We already posted some info on this project, but here are both of the remix eps full off global bass. We might go into describing the styles of each remix from tech house to straight up kuduro vibes, but no reason for that, you’d be bored to read it anyhow so download and listen to yourself. We got that bass in any case plus the eps include dub versions too just because we’re just kool like that!

we’re talking about the fake songs that days ago shaked the web : Beginning of the End – “Justice” and The Crash – “Daft punk”.

Actually, they are not bad at all, but I think you can feel that they couldn’t be produced by Justice and Daft Punk: the first one sounds like Planisphere and, for me, it’s a bit boring ; The Crash instead is so strange, too strage to be Daft.

La prima volta che mi sono imbattuto nei Birdy Nam Nam è stato nel 2006, tramite un amico, ma la formazione dei quattro dj francesi è attiva sin dal 2002. Il fatto è che il primo disco è del 2006; i primi tre anni non hanno prodotto nulla perchè troppo occupati a vincere battles in giro per il mondo.
Comunque, sono appena usciti con un nuovo album: a differenza dei lavori precedenti, quasi totalmente suonati scratchando, questo si appoggia di più a synth e strumenti veri. Il risultato è comunque di alta qualità.
Veniamo quindi alle tracce: la prima, Abbesses, è tratto dal primo album che prende nome dalla band stessa, ed è un masterpiece di turntablism. C’è il video del live su youtube, ve lo consiglio.
Il secondo pezzo è tratto invece dall’ultimo disco “Manual For Successful Rioting”, ed è entrato prepotentemente nella playlist notturna della mia camera. Buon ascolto.

Grazie a tutti: a chi che c’è sempre stato e ci ha supportato fin dagli umili inizi, a chi ci ha scoperto da poco,e a chi ancora ci deve conoscere. Sono passati 4 anni dal primo party Deepsession, nel piccolo Metaverso (chi se lo ricorda?), e anche se abbiamo cambiato spesso location non è mai cambiata la nostra voglia di scoprire e proporvi nuovi artisti e nuova musica. Siamo stati i primi a portare i Bloody a roma, abbiamo presentato Diplo giusto qualche mese prima che vincesse il grammy con “Swagga like us”, per non parlare dei MSTRKRFT e del set esclusivo che ci hanno dedicato…ma non vi preoccupate, siamo rimasti persone semplici: citando il mio amico Lucci dei brokenspeakers, “a noi lasciateci il palco e la nostra gente che viene a tirare le corna in aria”.
